In-Home Care That Stands Apart
We tailor in-home care services to each client’s and family’s needs – from two hours of service a day to 24-hour care. We provide a unique style of senior care, Interactive Caregiving, through which we encourage seniors to actively participate in caregiving services, as much as they are able.
And we provide them other opportunities—based on their interests—to stay physically, mentally and socially active. Some activities include walking, dancing and other physical activities; hobbies; mental activity, including puzzles and games; stimulating and entertaining conversation; shopping; and social activities, such as visiting friends and staying involved in church and community organizations. Research shows that such activity improves seniors’ physical and mental health, independence and quality of life.
Our caregivers—Comfort Keepers—also raise the effectiveness and quality of our care. We carefully select Comfort Keepers, hiring only people who have a natural gift for serving seniors. They’re the kind of people we’d choose to care for our own parents.
We Carefully Select Our Caregivers
Comfort Keepers candidates must pass extensive local and national criminal background checks, reference checks and interviews. Before they begin caring for clients we provide them extensive orientation and training in our high standards and unique brand of in-home senior care. And we provide them continuing training throughout their service with us.
For our clients’ and their families’ peace of mind, we bond and insure our Comfort Keepers and cover them with Workers’ Compensation insurance. Many of our caregivers are long-time employees—thanks to our careful selection process.
Comfort Keepers Mission
Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest level of quality of life that is achievable. We shall treat each of our clients with the respect and dignity they deserve, as though we were caring for a member of our own family.
The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home senior care (We call them Comfort Keepers®.) are carefully selected, screened, and trained to provide professional, compassionate care.
Interactive Caregiving™ is based on four primary pillars, which Comfort Keepers leverage to care for, engage, and interact with our clients:
- An active senior mind promotes independence, better mental and physical health, happiness, and a longer life.
- A physically active senior maintains strength and independence, lessening or delaying the effects of aging.
- A well-nourished senior is more energetic, both physically and mentally.
- A safe senior lives in an environment that reduces the likelihood of accidents and promotes timely response when illness or accidents occur.
With our Interactive Caregiving approach, we are able to raise seniors’ quality of life to a much higher level than typical in-home care providers.
