Comfort Keepers® in home care services offers around the clock care seven days a week to seniors and elderly loved ones in Fullerton and Orange, California. As a company, Comfort Keepers is dedicated to preserving the safety and well being of seniors who are living independently in their own homes. Trained caregivers are available at all times to help with light household chores, laundry, personal hygiene, running errands (such as visiting the pharmacy or grocery store), transporting the senior to and from appointments and also to provide companionship.
Comfort Keepers’ unique approach to caregiving involves a tactic called Interactive Caregiving™. There are many Interactive Caregiving activities that allow the Comfort Keeper caregiver to develop a real and lasting relationship with the senior by really getting to know him or her. Unlike other services dedicated only to cleaning and shopping, Comfort Keepers caregivers are excited to see the seniors they care for each and every day. They enjoy spending time together, and Interactive Caregiving helps the caregiver and senior to create a relationship based on genuine friendship, trust and common interests.
The caregiver will learn what the senior does and does not like, what the senior likes to do independently versus preferring assistance and will also think about the senior’s personal likes and dislikes are for various activities. For example, a caregiver might know that a senior loves to swim. The Comfort Keeper can look into finding a low-impact water aerobics class or find a local recreation center with a free swim time.
Getting to know the senior on a personal level and sharing fun experiences and conversations together will help to build a strong friendship. Comfort Keeper care givers are always excited to meet new seniors, and are standing by at a local office for any questions you may have about Interactive Caregiving.
If you would like to learn more about Interactive Caregiving or any one of our other senior care services, don’t hesitate to contact our local office, or call us today!
